Enguri HPP Employees Honored on Energy Worker’s Day
On September 10, Georgia marked Energy Worker's Day with a ceremonial event organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. The occasion recognized the invaluable contributions of professionals in the country’s energy sector.
During the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Romeo Mikautadze, personally presented an award to Tamaz Mataradze, Shift Manager of the Enguri HPP underground workshop, acknowledging his significant role in advancing Georgia’s energy development.
This year, a total of 14 employees from Enguri HPP were recognized for their dedication and service. Each recipient received a certificate of appreciation and symbolic gifts in honor of their contributions.
The event was held at the historic Zahesi Hydroelectric Power Plant, which has been in continuous operation for nearly a century. The ceremony brought together representatives from the energy sector, government agencies, and private enterprises, highlighting the collaborative spirit driving Georgia's energy progress.
